Fahimeh Vahdat is an Iranian American visual, performance and installation artist living in Greater Baltimore / DC area. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally at various venues such as Italy, Argentina, China, and UAE. Vahdat has received numerous grants, most recently, from Deutsch Foundation, Ruby grant and Maryland Individual Artist grant. She currently is a finalist for Baker Artist Award. Vahdat’s work has been published in several books and many essays have been written on her work. Most recently, the Little Patuxent Review, A Journal of Literature & the Arts, by Tim Singleton. Vahdat's work is in private and public collections.

Vahdat’s current projects include “Color of Violence & Healing” series, and “Get Your Power Back”, which focus on working with mixed media on hand-dyed canvases and recording stories told by survivors of domestic violence to be exhibited in an installation entitled “Safe Room”.
